These are the essentials of using Conkerly. We've kept this short and in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain.
The service
Conkerly is an online practice app for children in Years 1–6, used by a parent or carer who creates and controls the family account. Conkerly is currently free to use.
Accounts and parental responsibility
A parent or carer creates the account and any child profiles under it, and is responsible for what happens on those profiles — including keeping sign-in details (passwords, PINs, shared-device access) reasonably secure.
Child profiles are set up and managed by the parent; a child does not create their own account.
Acceptable use
Use Conkerly only for its intended purpose — practice and learning — and don't try to disrupt the service, access another family's data, or misuse the app in a way that could harm us, other users, or the service itself.
Intellectual property
Conkerly's content, design and software belong to us (or our licensors). You're welcome to use the app for your family's own practice; you don't get any other rights to copy, resell or redistribute it.
Liability
We work hard to keep Conkerly accurate and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what's fair and reasonable in the circumstances — we don't exclude anything the law doesn't let us exclude (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example as the service changes. We'll update the effective date below when we do, and material changes will be communicated to parents.
